2. In short
- This website uses no analytics or tracking tools. A cookie is only set if you switch the language yourself.
- Fonts, images and scripts load from our own server. No third-party content is embedded.
- We only process personal data where it is needed to run the website or to handle your enquiry.
3. Hosting
This website is hosted by Bluehost, a service of Newfold Digital, Inc., based in the USA. When you visit the website, the host processes technically necessary data on our behalf, based on our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because the host may process data in the USA, transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or, where available, certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
4. Server log files
With every visit the server automatically stores information your browser sends: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system. This data is used for security and troubleshooting, is not combined with other data and is deleted after a short period. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Language selection
When you open the home page, our server compares your IP address with a public list of IP address ranges (statistics published by the regional internet registry RIPE NCC). If the address is from Germany, Austria, Switzerland or Liechtenstein, we show the German version, otherwise the English one. The check runs only on our server. Your IP address is neither stored for this nor passed to third parties. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing you the website in a suitable language (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
If you change the language with the switch, we store your choice for twelve months in a cookie named “lang” (value “de” or “en”), so the home page does not redirect you again. This cookie is technically required for the function you asked for (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG). You can delete it in your browser at any time.
6. Contact form and email
If you write to us through the form or by email, we process your details (name, email address, optionally company and phone number, and your message) to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Form data is sent to us by email and not stored in a database on the website. We delete your data once the enquiry is fully handled, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
7. Encryption
This website uses TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar.
8. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). A message to info@laverdi.com is enough.
You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. Ours is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
